You can get a tidy matching pod that mounts on top of the dash.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Google Mud Stuff. They have a great pod the mini one that would easily hold 3 gauges. Their nice and easy to deal with.

Hey mate I have a Defender with the same motor

I have a TM-2 (head temperature), EGT and a Boost Gauge

The first two are a must I reckon, I also have an Engine Saver (Low coolant alarm)

If you have fiddled with your fuel pump then a EGT is a must, I was once told never to run a Tdi anywhere over 700 degrees. Occasionally I hit 600 or so and know I need to start backing off on the loud pedal

The boost gauge was fitted by the fella who owned the Landy before me. I would have to say I don't think I'd get one. I'm not really sure of the point, fair enough it's interesting to watch but what else do you do with it?

Head temperature is good for if you thermostat doesn't open

My EGT is a Thermoguard unit, sold by a member on this forum

The TM-2 and Engine saver I sourced from Davy on this forum again another great bloke to deal with

    Boost/EGT combo.

Have dug this up rather than start another thread.

Been looking for a combo boost/pyro that would suit my other ride as want to integrate it into the dash.

Have found these... May interest some of you.
