It never ceases to amaze me with the amount of history that we have on this web site! Some of those pics are fantastic!

I saw the film when I was young at the local drive-in. I distinctly remember a diff crown wheel that was in pieces being put back together with wire? someone correct me if I'm wrong. reminds me of JW"s song....."did you tie it up with wire, just to keep the show on the road"

They had the episodes at BCF today - $4.95 for 4 episodes on each one. Thought about getting some, but my wife reckon she saw them at some discount store cheaper. Next time I go past, I'll call in and check them out.

Strange how these things come round. Picked up the September 2009 edition of Land Rover Enthusiast which has a story on the Leyland Brothers and the trip across Australia is mentioned as the pictures are of the vehicle in the Birdwood Museum. Pages 164 and 165.

Suggest you try your local Library for copies of the DVDs.

Even if they don't have them themselves they can source them from other libraries within the state - at least that's how it works in SA.

And once you have a copy in your hot little hand you can.... watch it of course
