I thought this thread was going to be about undies.......

Good luck finding homes for the 2. It's a shame to see animals disposed of for (often) minor, insignificant things.

This does not sound like it is insignificant.

I'd love to adopt another dog or two , boxers are a beautiful breed , I've played with Dullbirds boxers many a time. I don't have any room to adopt more dogs. I hope you're able to find a good home for them.

I'd love the tan/black one! Have a female purebred Golden Retriever called Charm...been thinking about getting some company for her. After Goldens, Boxers are my next favourite dogs...

Only problem (well two actually), I'm in QLD and my place isn't fully fenced yet. I wish I could!!

What are the potential problems if you're able to share here?

the problem is the girls have lumps.....

as anyone that has known or owned a boxer they are prone to them. these girls have mast cell lumps....they are only small and have not been graded

mast cell being one of the most aggressive cancers a dog can get unfortunately for the breed of boxers they are shockers for getting them. I had small lump cut off my boy not that long ago to be safe.

ordinarily we would never adopt a dog out with such a potential problem.......

But these dogs are sooooooo wonderful we felt if there was an owner out there that would be expectant of the outcome (especially a boxer owner) I.e knowing that they would take the dog on with these issues and that it could be a case of the dog having 12months or 5 years we would give it a shot...just to try and save them!!!

We would have the lumps removed both girls have one each. but that would be as far as we would go......(wouldn't normally go this far) and it would be up to the owner if they wished to take it further or just let the dog live its life till its time.

It all sounds drastic but we have to give the worse case scenario......the dogs could well live on for years and die of something else later down the line but of course that is not something we can guarantee.

So I thought I would put the word out here...as I have found special homes for a couple of dogs through this site i thought I would try my luck

I thought it was going to be about air cooled VW engines!

With 6 kids at home (plus two cats and a collection of birds) we really don't need a dog.

I have 5 Boxers during my life and they are one of the most beautiful and funy dogs.
They are a puppy for ever
Our first boxer was in Uruguay and lived 14 1/2 years the other 4 here in Oz where we found that there are a lot of in-breeding and perhaps because that a lot of health problems on them.
I do not like the puppy farmers at all
I hope that you find a nice home for them, any member with kids can take this dogs without problems, just one kid more in the family

The dogs could definitely live for many more years. We had one of these lumps cut out of our Lab at least 5 years ago. She also had a course of chemo. No problems or returning cancer since then!
