Question Who made the Light weight with the tyre on the Front?????? ( was designed for use in a UK overseas territory )
Great collection of photos, Juddy.
Some rippers there!!! Where did you get them all from?
The first one is one of the APGP's (Air Portable, General urpose). It was amphibious using a few big brackets and some inflatable rubber bags!
A rare pic of the 3.0L Lightweight guntractor as well a few down, and I love the one of the perentie prototype and the centaur halftrack!

Yes shows the diversity of Land Rover capability even if 7 of the pics were not strictly military and many/most of the Fire Engine appliances were also civilian and aviation variants.
P.A. Blanchard have a Centaur for sale if you want only about $32,000.00
Or maybe an Alvis Stalwart is more your cuppa! Only about $10,000.00 (Alvis was part of the Rover Company at the time.)

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

All of these Land rovers were evaluated by the MOD, many were just one of prototypes, The Fire Engines as you say were both used by the milatry and the private sector..
Light weight 93 KA 66 was a Gloster Saro modification, with over -sized Goodyear Wrangler dumper tyres, intended for use in the Falklands.
The Centaur, by all accounts did not sell too well, only 7/8 ever made, 2 went to the Oman Gov in 1978, other than one based on the 110 Defender chassis. all were based on the stage One.
I love the Stalwart, now that would be very cool to have over here...

Yes, that ambo is an aussie one, and I think that 101 is a vampire, not a radio truck.
