    Mereenie Loop

Any one know current condition of Mereenie Loop?
Will be doing it in a few weeks towing an off road camper trailer

Did the Gibb River road a couple years back.
Heard horror stories and found it in great nick.

    Thanks Pete

We did it in May this year. There were plenty of people taking campers and soft roaders through. Gets a little rough in places but only short patches, mostly it's pretty good.

Look out for these important warning signs on the way through :

Been asking the same question, mate came back after travelling it in a troopy - said said he'd not recommend it (he travelled April/May time)
    yet on another forum
"We were on the Mereenie Loop Rd a couple of weeks ago. Yep it was corrugated in places, had rocks and some sections that were smooth. Dont worry, let your tyres down a touch and enjoy the drive, its all part of the outback experince. There is nothing on that road that a modern 4wd couldnt handle. And remember youre in a Paj, enjoy. "
That was posted 3 weeks ago. - I think it may be a case of ask the locals when you get your permit.
