Where can I get two pack paint?

    Hi All
Sorry if this is a really silly question, but where can I source two pack paint? (In Brisbane) I've tried one smash repair place but they said they couldn't sell it to me, maybe they were just being stuck up I don't know. Any one here used it, and what sorta price would I be looking at, for flat back or matt black.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Most panel beaters will be reluctant to sell it on account of the isocyanates content.

Yes I am aware that it has some dangerous contents, so does that mean no one can buy it?

Technically it should not be sold to the general public. However most automotive paint suppliers should sell it to you.

Is John's Paint Shed at Hemmant still in operation???

I am building some rock sliders, and from previous experience have found that normal enamel just isn't a tough enough paint. It just scratches way too easily and while it is easy to just touch up, two pack is just better as it adds a tough second coating.
Now I could get them powdercoated, but for that I have to wait 2-3days for it to be done. With two pack, its easy as I can apply it myself, I have all the equipment to do it.

I would suggest some spray cans of the epoxy based matt black paint from your nearest auto parts supplier.
Not as many nasty chemicals and is very long lasting, about $15 a can from memory.

two shops in Lismore, a fairly small city, sell two pack to panelbeaters, etc., as well as selling panelbeating suppies. Sure their would be similar suppliers in Brisbane.
