I've been put in that category, somehow.
One of the young ladies I worked with in Canberra reckoned I was a hipster hippy.
I reckon that's an oxymoron, I can't be both! [emoji848][emoji15][emoji23]

A hipster is a yuppie hippy. The image of hippy whilst living the urban centeric dream. Self sufficiency means individual financial wealth over community and growing your own veggies. The image of independence and adventurousness whilst actually conforming to the mainstream. ...Infact Land Rover’s current primary target market.
Naa, Hipsters are super yuppies, I knew heaps of them when in Canberra.
RM Williams boots even though they'd never seen a horse in their lives, let alone which end the feed went in.
Very on point dress sense. Read, expensive.
About $100 worth of product in their beards, which took more time to groom than their partners hair....
You get the idea.
That particular young lady liked my dress sense, and knew my past, which few that know me from the last few years have any inkling of.
Zeros hit the nail right on the head with hipsters it's the best definition for it. I highly doubt it was directed at you bloke! They havnt started wearing the RM boots here in melb but I'm just about ready to hang up my hat and shave off my beard! I preferred the emo scene at least they all kept their mouths shut and not try and change the world lol
