I see my post above was "edited" by someone.... did I upset someone by not being PC enough? How dare anyone make a comment about something everyone knows goes on, fiddling of stats. by pollies etc. with vested interests.
Oh well, that's life now I suppose. Mustn't hurt someone feelings......

Bit like our local club president editing my usual comment from an adv. about a forthcoming trip (No kids, no dogs, no smokers) because "we send the mag. to many people and it may upset someone!".
Pity they can't do something about the atrocious spelling and other misuse of the language.

It was probably edited because you were discussing politics, so not upsetting anyone, you're just breaking the rules is all - naughty boy... 😁

I don't see anything wrong with setting ground rules for a trip you're planning and inviting others too either. I'd not go on a decent trip that had kids or dogs on it to be honest - the smoking bit doesn't bother me so much even though I'm a non smoker, but I can see why you'd want that too.

It would be at least courteous to advise the poster of the reason a post was edited, rules or no rules.

They may then be able to judge their next post content.

'twas only a wee dig about posturing pollies and actions resulting from their mostly useless actions ........ and we of course the public have to pay the price for those actions, useless or otherwise.
And in the case of banning so called single use plastic bags, it was totally useless. That comment from me was totally in context with the thread and showed that the shops weren't to blame at all.
If that's classified as a political comment not allowed under the rules, that is a stupid rule.
