Thread: Here we go again

    Here we go again

The wife has started on the car thing again

She came across a Black Supercharged Rangie with the white leather interior etc wile in Sydney and fell in love with it. At least she has good taste in cars hey.

Something will have to go right here to extend to one of these things and with drought hitting again and two Kids to put through a private school I cant see it likely in the short term

As some of you know I'm in the process of building up a 89 RRC with a blower and a few upgrades.
Looks like it may only be a toy now as she would settle for a nice late TD5 D2 or a 94 LSE RRC Soft dash for a wile. I'd like the 94 RRC but as we all know it may need a lot of sorting to be reliable like the 89 model has been.
I'm a bit shy of the TD5 D2 at this stage by some of the drama some have had with them here. I think they are nice though for a disco.

I have a 94 Update disco here as well that is damaged ATM and the wife and kids like it as far as being user friendly goes....

We'll see what evolves from here

    Tony

as you said she has great taste in cars
But I know what you're saying about other expenses , Kids education etc
Tony I would say she will be happy with the 300tdi disco you have there on the farm if you get it all sorted . couple of new panels , a new paint Job.

One thing I'm glad of .... She will never be seen driving a beep beep buzz box. Would last about a week here and be smashed to bits.

We have had a lot of discussion over the D1 here. You know how much we all like the Rangies here. Told the wife this morning a good D2 will set us back around 25K To much for a now ageing vehicle that is bound to trouble us

We now hope to find a nice 94 LSE soft dash. Rare as around here
The ultimate would be swap the disco running gear into a nice LSE if we can find one.
