    New Prado.

I've got a 2005 Prado and it's not a bad vehicle at all. I like it's 180ltr tank which is well over twice the size of a Defenders, it's comfortable for what I want to do which isn't hard core off roading and I suspect when discounting all the bullcrap, that's exactly what most of us do, and best of all Toyota have a few dealers outside the metro areas which LRA haven't!
The shape of the new one or the old doesn't turn me on and I still look fondly at Defenders (and the Cook insists on waving at the things!) but this will do me for a while especially now I've made drawers, installed the fridge and done other small things to make it more useful like a bullbar and better suspension etc.
Cheers and keep on dreaming fellas.

You need a large tank in it, my mate has a 2005 td prado and he only gets just over 100k and its as original as it was out of the showroom, he nearly cried when i told him i get close to that out of 80 ltrs.

Wow you dont even get 100k out of a tank in your TDI? thats sucks for you...

Mines not great either, 150L fill gets me about 13-1400km at best, usualy worse then that tho with a heavy right foot and getting out on the beach a bit. Ive also have a custom exhaust and chip, the exhaust made a huge difference to power and economy

Sometimes toyota make a car which has meaningful lines, but most of the time like this car its a meaningless wreck of a **** heap. Nissan are another culprit. Mazda have had some good and bad times. To me leaders in style include LR, BMW, Mercedes. All of these brands have in the past and present changed the worlds style in cars. Lately for example I have noticed everyone is putting RR sport side grills in their front quarter panels near the side indicators. The holden cruise got em, as did the ford ranger.
