Chinese made Maxis tyres

Interesting Keith, These clearly say Made in China. I've just had another look and they are a nice looking tyre too. I'm running 32 PSI so I'll be interested in the wear pattern.

Can only speak for Mudders..I think they're great, and didnt think they're made in China.
I just replaced a set of Buckshots 245/75R/16 with newies.
I got about 80,000kms and 40 months out of them, lots of daily driving, fairly heavy off road stuff occasionally for the first 2 years, heaps of highway driving.
I found them fantastic in all conditions, (even on wet blacktop) and at $150 per corner they were awesome value.
They are now $250 a tyre though, which is still pretty good.
The sidewall on these were disintegrating, though that was due to rocks and sand early on, and the missus consistently rubbing them along the gutter when parking:mad::D

, however i can't vouch for passenger car/performance tyres. I've been quite happy with my maxxis tyres but i don't push the too hard on the road (mainly because of the body roll i get in the Disco). I guess the main reason so many people here speak so highly of their Maxxi's (me included) is because we buy 'off road' tyres... not racing ones for our vehicles. I've had no drama's at all with my Big Horns and will definately replace them with the same when the time comes. Value for money and overall good (if not spectacular) performance will win points with me every time.

I have to say we are comparing different cars, but I have foun the Maxxis road tyres to be more than capable on V8s in this range (type and price). The Yokohamas I found to be rubbish on old school 70's V8s and on later model Commodores, however they may be suited to your vehicle and style of driving. Generally I used to use Bridgies, BFG or Mickey T's on road cars until the Maxxis came on the market.
