I dont really know, but I would expect that if it looks like there should be something there (ie shiny bits) then they will ask about it. But if it looks like there wasn't ever anything there, then they won't say much.

Just trying to think back to my own blue slip, I'm sure it was just another check list much like the pinkslip is.

My last pink slip the inspector actually failed my D1 because the sway bars were off - however, the paperwork said I went home, fitted them and came back and the 2nd inspection was a pass. (Think carefully about what I wrote....)

I can't really see how they could nock you back for not having them, pre-update d1's didn't even come from the factory with them
All 3 of our rovers don't have swaybars

i'm in the same boat as you just getting my d1 ready for both slips in a week or two
    Good luck!

I got my Pink Slip passed in the last fortnight with my rear sway bar disconnected. To be honest I forgot it wasn't on and didn't think about it...

I've had to do similar things,,,

Im still rego'd in NSW, and most garage guys wouldn't even notice something like that,, (but if your worried, take it with you and fit it on the spot if you have to,,) They know your only going to take it off again,, its the same with oversized wheels etc,,

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll fit the bludger this time and then take it off again later.

    Cheers
