Japanese thing AFAIC. I'd confidently park our 24 year old Kubota on the carpet in BHP's boardroom:D

Yup.. Only leak my Zuzu has ever had so far is the seal between the alternator and vane pump. Thought it had done a pinion seal a wile back but turned out to be the breather not breathing so well.:) Still have the new seal and flange in my spares.;)
You had better check the chassis, make sure it isn't going rusty.
my disco does the same thing when i drain the oil out of it :D:wasntme:
My 1980 Triumph Bonneville has never been a bad leaker (5c piece after a ride then stops) but since a I had a major service (and I do mean major) there has not been a single drop.
My Defender however, not while not being too bad, doe like to drop a bit here and there.
Dunno about the Isuzu yet, I only bought it in June but the engine has'nt dropped any oil. The front left brake cyl decided to spring a leak recently & its only been sitting there !!.
Its the Chev County thats still to drop any oil. Fred Smith did most of the rebuild & its even got teflon coated swivel housings:eek:
