I work from home, and definitely love it. Would not go back to working for a boss again.

My main problem is knowing when to stop. With your own business there is always something more to do, and before you know it, it is midnight and you are still working

I know others who have the opposite problem. They find it hard to get started, and are always getting distracted.

    What type are you?

I have my own biz and love it.....but it's hard work. Like spudboy said some people find it hard to get motivated and others just go to hard at it.

I find it gives me alot more freedom but you have to be careful how you manage your time. I have learnt lessons on that point for sure.

I have 16 month old twins and we dont get alot of support from family/friends etc so I find it's perfect because I can be flexible with when I work and when I need to be at home to help.

Also the money is heaps better and there is a severe shortage of scientific glassblowers in this country so I dont have to go searching to hard for work.
    Cheers

Looks simular to a sprook I would have used when network marketing, dont get me wrong it does work but there seems to be no money. my business used to stretch across all states excepy NT. Now days I operate a more convention bussiness from home and have done for 15 years. As all bussiness some years are better than others dollar wise but the "my time" is better if you clock off.
    cheers

I have run my home business for about 5 years, its very flexible but you have to be disciplined with money. A lot of small business fail quickly, mine didn't but I dont think I earn more than if I had have worked away at a normal job. There is no advantage one way or another but home business suit people who don't like a boss and can work hard without anyone telling them what to do.
