Yes and no!
The original camping ground and van park, the one with what used to be a servo, is closed, apparently for re-development but possibly now bankrupt. However there is a time-share place next door (on the Sydney side closer to the bridge) which has vans and may at times have sites available for others, at least I see people going in and out on my frequent passes of the site.
Then there are other places nearby at Upper Colo River.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
I don't need any more cold weather clothing so I've not ordered any AULRO stuff.
However an AULRO name badge in a plastic cover would be good.

As camp sites go it was W>>>! For such a event, a portable shower/toilet block would have been alot better, there should have also been more food outlets, and as much as i had a nice chat with the head of LR Australia, the set up they hand was very poor. But the event was very good, just a bit too cold, but was nice to have a road trip, with fellow Land Rover owners.
Im soooooooo jealous of those who were there! Love to be able to make it to one of these one day. Thanks for the pics too, great stuff!

[quote]well perhaps then we should do this next year and charge you even more for camping to cover the cost.......would be a hugh cost between 6/9 campers
"For such an event" you seem to not like a lot about it
if I didn't know you I would almost say you sound like a whinging yorkshireman
Oh and you have quote me with someone elses quote...I would appreciate it if you would edit that, I don't want the organisers of that great event to think I was moaning about there voluntary efforts![]()
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Well said Baz, considering this EXPO was at end Sept and all others were in July, those complaining of cold now wouldn't turn up if it goes back to July.
So far I've been to them all & this was the best save for the wind, & only one I was in & out of a jumper all day, because of the wind, wasn't cold in the least...hate the wind.
Well done to Greg & committee of organisers.
Thanks again for the lend of the chairs Baz.
Cheers
Bryce
I think the main problem for juddy and myself was that our better halves had never camped before![]()
So to travel a thousand kilometres and then camp in freezing cold winds with very little in the way of "creature comforts" was a big ask
Maybe next time we should book them into a motel![]()
