    Geez good work TimJ.

I can't belive that a Soarer is "on the list" even thought is was available as a rebadged Lexus yet you cant get a Defender.

And lets not forget the Surf - which is a foerrunner or hilux. I hate beauracracy.

So how many do we need to import to make it worthwhile? (I'm thinkin 20 )

Not sure a bout a group buy as such but I am certainly very interested in one and if there are enough others then I will follow it up further. I think at least 10 would be required.

A TD5 90 from 2003 seems to be worth 30k or so depending on spec and mileage so these ones should be worth more than that once imported as they would be a special model and they have a lot of fruit that the ones here didn't have.

Not sure this is necessarily the case. These would still be seen as "grey" imports and you would have difficulties insuring etc. This would scare some potential buyers off.

Having said that there would be those of us that'd easily rank a NAS v8 higher than a Td5 90.

Extra Fruit?: Auto, V8, rollbar.................bigger fuel bill

There are 3 RHD and 1 LHD on that website alone, all "50th anniversarys".
Freight to Australia roll on roll off around $1500.
Cheap Rangies/D2s with very low ks too.

Doesn't that make them 11 years old. Would an 11 year old D90 petrol be worth around $Au25K+ after all shipping, duties and taxes were paid?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
