I'd be trying thinners, but lightly and quickly as the Graffitti is new, the paint old, should come off easily

No mate, not saying that at all, I'm well aware the little *****s are everywhere. Having come from the UK, I know it all too well!! ;)
Just gutted that, as I said, 3yrs in this house and nothing, not a dickie bird before now (including previous school hols), and they happen to do this just 3 days before my first home open! :(

or like I do on cars.
turtle wax cut'n'polish and some elbow grease.
the marker will usually come out when you cut back with the cutting wax.
A good pressure washer might have a go at it. :)
I know my crappy one is still pretty good, might at least get the paint graffitti off.
I think it would work best sprayed on a really acute angle to the fence to push the graffitti off, and so that you don't dent the fence.
Another possiblity - might work. :p
forgot the oldschool stuff (duh)
toothpaste with a little sodium bicarbonate slurried into it.
BEFORE YOU TRY ANYTHING ELSE...
get a can of aeroguard personal insect repellant..(blue can) .the spray on stuff..
spray it on the paint and the texta area...
WAIT, WATCH THE TEXTA AND PAINT START TO RUN...
wipe off with cloth, repeat as many times as required....
works well on all shiny/metal surfaces, may leave some traces that can be buffed away....(good for white boards too!)
THIS IS A CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE WAY OF DOING THIS..(WEVE USED IT FOR YEARS).. AND THE STUFF IS DESIGNED TO BE SPRAYED ONTO YOUR SKIN????
Digger
WD 40 apparently is a great graffitti remover and no damage to the substrate.
As always , test first though
For the permanent marker i use circuit board cleaner. Might even work for the paint but not sure.

I agree with digger. National Parks in Qld mark all their bookings on sites with permanent marker and remove it with Aeroguard. Just spray it on and wipe off. Works really well.
