Have you spoken to Landrover about this as I am sure they would be interested to hear.
I took ours in to the dealer for the 12k service in July,I took the correct tick sheet in with me along with the service book,on collection all relavent boxes ticked, book stampted as it's only 12 months old to keep in the warranty.
Getting to the car I noticed no grease on the propshaft, tyres looked low on pressure(and were)they had dented both wing tops!, I got the service manager out to show him,he then gave me aload of bull****, outcome was into the bodyshop and the whole service done again, his attitude was disgusting.
Then got the GM out who took things in hand, but it should never have got to this, ending up with a set of genuine seat covers as a sweetner foc.
So I don't think it's a sexist thing just lack of respect for peoples property.

What I noticed about walking into a parts store is ....
If I wear my jeans, T shirt & thongs .... I get "good service" and talked to properly
If I wear my white shirt, black trousers & black shoes ... I get the "your a idiot" treatment

^^^ Agreed.
Try going to a steel merchants to grab some brown bar after work in a suit and tie!
Bought some 2mm plate and a length of bar after work one day, and it cost nearly twice as much as the 3mm plate and another length of bar I bought a week later - in greasy overalls full of weld burns!

Just came across this thread...
DB, I'm sure it's not you... It's Bob Jane that's the problem.
I had a tyre service (rotate & balance) done at Bob Jane's before we went away last month. They hit me up for a wheel alignment and I couldn't argue as they had all their machine print-outs to prove it was out.
That evening I went to fill up and thought I'd just check the tyre pressures as the car was riding very harshly over bumps. Sure enough the ****-wits rotated the tyres but didn't even bother to check the pressures. I had 45psi on the front and 30psi on the back! Idiots!
