    Exchange rate

Is anyone buying anything from over seas with the dollar so good?

Many things aren't that much difference in price to warrant the effort. Having said that, there are a few things which I'll need and know are hard to find locally. I've emailed a few companies overseas to see what their best price door-to-door is, and will most likely go on a small spending spree.

    Overseas Buying

I suggest you read previous recent threads on this...The big hurdle is freight ...it seems to have gone up in big leaps and bounds.

When asked the mail order companies here tell me they are shipping stuff all over the place, not only is the A$ strong but thanks to our Labour Government the British Pound is knackered, make the most.

I've got a few pounds in an english account but I think they'll have to stay put for now

When I left england and emigrated nearly five years ago, the dollar rate was $2.67 to one pound. One week later it dropped to around $2.33.

Guess who's money was still in London A small price to pay though when one looks at the blue sky and surroundings......
