Tide was about 1.6-1.7, but doable then and still enough beach to drive on. ANy higher would be a bit iffy. The northern end getting towards freshwater and past there was very soft as I said. Tracks and cuttings were fine though.
Cooloola Way is definitely closed :( (they've updated the conditions report to show this now too).
We're not heading up till about the 18th Dec, but even if they do re-open, it sounds like a real goat track at the minute anyway.
They have put out a new Cooloola conditions report and apparently Cooloola Way is now open again. Given the tides for the 5th we might give it a whirl. :)
