We have maybe 100 78's inherit from the mother in law with a turntable that will play them, also have all the others we have brought that have survived the moves etc
My wife had the old 78's out playing some tracks when my daughter walked in an said "wow they are big cd's"
cheers

I used to have a quadraphonic eight track player in the car. It did sound good but technically it is not realistic sound.
When you are at a live concert sound is only coming from the front.
I suspect this is why quadraphonic never took off.
As for the vinyl, I still have all mine but haven't had a turntable for 25 years. It was only recently I was talking about selling them.
All my LP's are in pristine condition as I was very fussy. I would purchase a new album and I would then copy it onto a cassette, so they have only been played once, and are all in a plastic sleeve to protect the covers.
Dave.
I have a Thorens TD125 turntable, SME arm, and Shure V15 cartridge.
I must use them to transfer my vinyl to CD - one day.
