Great stuff it will do wonders for him, I remember my first job 70 hours a week pumping fuel for $150
Good luck to him

Was having a few beers sunday nite with a good mate in rememberence of FatBaz.
The mate is The Milk Magnate of Williams. He supplies milk to Williams Quindanning Boddington Crossman Wandering Kojonup and Katanning. He needs a helping hand and Lindsay has scored 2hrs tue and thur after work and 4hrs sat morn.To start with he will be cleaning out the milk truck and stacking empty crates, and can go on delivery runs during school hols.
Leon, the mate was so disgusted with the award rate for a 15YO he offered 20% above award as a starter.
Will do Lindsay well both pyhsicaly and mentaly to go out and earn real money. It surprised me that he was keen to take it on

That is fabulous, it's great that a kid has enough get up and go these days i believe it's a rare thing good on him.
In my day i never got pocket money and earn't 350gbp a week delivering papers (crappy job in winter-in the old country) and i think the weekend rate was a whopping 2.50
It would appear that kids today just have their hands held open, and in some cases would be prepared to sue the 'olds' for lack of payment for breathing!
Ahhhh,, Good on him,,
I used to do a milk run,,, delivering to houses and a couple of shops,,, not bad work, keeps you fit and healthy, and a few good perks along the way,,Just wish I'd had the guts to buy it when I had the opppirtunity,, but, as a 21 y/o, I think I had a few other things of greater importance going on,,

Its good for kids to start earing their own money, I started at 12 years old doing a paper round 6 days a week starting at 5.30am each day, did it until the day I started my apprentaship 3 months before turning sixteen.
Give him a pat on the back from me
cheers

seems like only yesterday he was riding his BMX---
"Hi Guys
Friday was our RDO,the local blue light disco people and the shire organised to do a working bee to build the local kids a BMX track as there is very little for kids to entertain themselves at.We carted 60 odd truckloads of dirt and finished it off saturday morning turned out "wicked" as many kids said.
My boy spent all of sunday watching bathurst,he loves his FORD V8 supercars.Soon as the race was over he raced down to the track to put a few hot laps in.Not 10 mins later a couple of his budies were knocking on the door saying we better come and help Lindsay because he had a big stack.
He got a trip to hospital in the ambulance and a night stay along with a mouth full of stitches. He is one sore boy with gravel rash up 1 side of his face.

good one. how old is he??
my first jobs were splitting rings, and trapping possums ( when there was a bounty) easy to make 50-70 bucks a week in 1977. but sheesh it was hard, checking traps before school 5 mile trap line, then dressing after school. weekends spent splitting, i remember the first day, blisters and i couldn't open my hands.
Good on him. He is off to a good start.
I started full time work at 15 and earnt 30 shillings a week ( 3 dollars ).
I was rich !!
With my first pay I bought myself a pair of socks and my Mum a bag of lollies, Gave her 10 shillings for board and opened a bank account.
I already owned a 1949, 500cc AJS that I rode everywhere.
I saved hard and bought an unregistered 1928 Pontiac Tourer, to drive to
work when it was raining. It remained unregistered for the next 4 years.
Cheers.
He'll appreciate having his own money.
A chance to save up for a mill to go with that lathe![]()
