I work in mining exploration.
I get to travel a lot through SA and the NT, spending time at remote bush camps. The money isn't too bad either.
The down side being that I am away from home a lot more than I am at home. That means when I am home I have to spend a lot of time doing all the odd jobs that build up while I am away.
Well I`m a miserable sod.For the life of me I can`t think of one aspect of were I work as good.Even knocking of is no fun cause I know that I`m back there the next day.The two that I work with I suppose are good to work with, but as far as my job and were I work not a clue as what might be a good point. It`s hot, filthy, noisey, filthy, dark, filthy and its dirty. You get to dodge fork lifts, work of ladders at height, work in confined spaces with out any safety procedures, work on a 800 degree furnace standing on a 200 mm wide board over a pit of sharp slag, work in a acid dipping area(hmm that might be a good point, clears the pores up and takes those stubborn stains of my hands)Get to use equipment and machine tools that where old when Mosses was a young lad.Least though I get paid.
