Don't you believe it, here the visiting dentist does not like doing white folk at all & charges a bomb if you can get in to see him.

My wife just had 2 wisdom teeth out, not counting the bloke who knocked her out or the hospital or travel or accommodation or a weeks worth of custard the dentist was just over $1000. All the other stuff made the total bill about $2500. I don't know, she was only in a little bit of constant pain, hardly seems worth it.

A few years ago (about 97) I had my front teeth kicked out (one of the joys of my job) & the bone smashed up to the bottom of my nose. After many dental visits, a bridge of false teeth & a few visits to a councillor later (that was quickest) I'm told it cost Work Cover about $20000.00.
Rather have my own bent old teeth back!

Maybe you should negotiate the price.

A lot of dentists do their training at dentist med school, then do their business studies at a Land Rover Dealership
Re the old Sitcom 'Mother & Son', Robbie the dentist wasn't good enough to become a Doctor, so he became a dentist.

Irony is the dentists charge more than a doctors and dentists don't bulk bill.

I live in Cambodia at the moment and a root canal for the guy I work with is $45.00. This is a good dentist with all the latest gear, not a back yarder.
My wife had root canal in Perth last year, all up around the $5000.00.
Save your money and take a holiday overseas and get it done, there is lots of Aussies travelling to Asia for hospital visits.
