Something I totally agree on. I've seen to many p plate drivers crashed to argue against it.

I believe WA is now getting fixed speed cameras to work alongside of the red-light cameras.

If you speed through some intersections now, like people do when they see an orange light, voila you're caught speeding from behind.

There is one on Leach Hwy heading towards Fremantle at the intersection of North Lake Rd.

That could be it Craig. It looked a bit like a larger version of the white bodied fixed CCTV cameras we have in processing plants, mounted on a tripod only about 750mm off the ground. That'd explain why the radar detector never went off.
