    My disco's first "moment"

I have been meaning to put this up for a couple of weeks now, but must have got side tracked
About 3weeks ago we decided to take my disco for a bit of a rundown on the harder more rutted tracks, the first track i tried i got crossed up strate away, don't ask me how i did it, but it's just one of those things

As usual the pic doesn't do it justice, but that angle was worse then it looks and the hill is alot steeper aswell

After i got winched out of that situation, the next section proved the same, and once again up on two legs and on an even worse angle, out comes the strap again

I drove the rest of the hill without to much trouble.
Then it was onto the next hill where i broke an axle after driving all the hard sections

At this stage the day wasn't going very well, so we decided to get home as quick as possible before something else broke

After being home for an hour or so we noticed that the camera was missing, so off we went in the county tracing our steps only to find it in a deep rut where my car was on a nasty angle afew hours before, i picked the camera case up and gave it a shake, my ears cringed at the sound of 2000 little bits of $700 camera jumping around inside the case, it must have fell out the door and became traction for the cars behind us

All in all a pretty bad day, atleast the memory card survived the insident

Great pic indeed! One of many more I suspect.

Shame about the axle and camera, but no one was hurt and the Disco didn't roll, so it's all good!

Its a good pic alright,, but you know what they say,, "go hard or go home",, just too bad going hard meant you had to go home,,,

Thats bad luck about the camera,,, does your insurance cover it at all,,,?

I can tell by the angle of the trees on the left of the pic that its one pretty steep track. Its amazing how photos make a rutted track look like a highway and a steep angle look as steep as a driveway

Good to hear your all OK, shame about the camera, but at least it was only the camera that rolled down the track

    It's always fun
I need some upgraded axles though, not nice having that feeling halfway up a steep hill thinking that the axles are probably not far off breaking

Reminds me of the time my Mrs fell on her butt after taking some brilliant pics of our old disco and some mates non LR piecs of poo on a steep downhill track at Kroombit tops. Her butt and ego were bruised, her legs were all scratched and so was the camera but to our surprise its stil working.

She has a bad habit of breaking my gadgets so I was glad to see one of them survive.
