She wants to do a double degree - Law/International Studies. Her ATAR is just shy of what was required for Sydney - which was a disappointment for her - but she could conceivably take up the scholarship and start a different course, then try to transfer over after the first year. Will have to have distinctions though. Or, more hopefully, be offered a spot when the second round of placements come up. She's definitely in at UNSW so that will probably be where she will go. She eventually wants to be involved with the United Nations - very much committed to human rights - and wants to ultimately work in the Hague. When I was her age, the length of my planning was where the nexty party was going to be....

Well, I told her she'd be rewarded for her hard work - bought her a mazda mx5 - british racing green. One very surprised and elated girl...

She's done very well Mick, but she didn't do it alone did she? Take a "Supportive and Loving Dad' pat on the back mate.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

There is only one person on this forum that really knows what this family has been through over the last 4 years. For her to have achieved such results is just unbelievable. I am gobsmacked, and so very proud of her. Well done Dominique, you have achieved greatness.
Over the last 6 years ours have got 95, 87 & 88 (last week) so know what you must be feeling - even without what has obviously been a pretty tough 4 years.

Encourage her to keep doing her best in what ever she does - including looking after the MX5!.
    Cheers, Dale

Its those damned high achieving kids like your daughter that remind me that our world will be in good hands for a long time. Lucky they aren't all like me or the future would be fathomable!
    Well done to Dominique

Mirrors are tops! Thanks! Well I only fitted one so far, using the stem that was already on the windscreen hinge, I fear if I put the other one on the guard as designed i'll drop a bonnet on it or something
Fitting the other will be a final step before rego.
I keep making more work for myself before rego is an option...like engine swaps!

MX5s are a little different to 90's, but at least its a proper colour
