I like the Trucks, but they dont get much coverage.
Closest thing to a Rover is the Bowler, there are a bunch of them......

There used to be,but looks like this year it has been dropped by SBS 1,

yeah man, that hummer goes well, you see it just flying along and just gracefully getting airborn as it goes along over the undulating terrain

it seems to me that sbs 1 runs atleast the highlights from each day as mentioned on their site for it, and has them and more available to view online at it's site.

I originally saw it on free2air sbs1 with my SD Digital Set-Top Box.

too bad you dont have or that data is cheaper to access internet streaming via your optus cable line

I think it is 2WD because it is basically a 2WD buggy with a Hummer body.

That Hummer has a GM LS7 V8 and carbon fibre body.

The production class is, unfortunately, dominated by Toyota etc.

    Garland is out.

    Love the Dakar.
Bruce Garland is out of the race now. (Australian racing an Isuzu DMax). He was disqaulified for taking some nain roads back to camp after some mechanical problems. He did not tie his spare down properly, came loose and damaged his radiator. To save his vehicle he took the easy road home instead of going through the dunes.
Bruce was up to 19th place at the start of the 6th leg.
Was dissapointed to see Casteu crash out. I was very interested to see how his Sherco 450 went.
I think this is the last year for the 690cc motorbikes and starting next year the max engine size will be 450cc.
