You are slightly out of date... The 300Tdi was replaced by the TD5 in 1999, then by the 2.4CRD (puma/transit) engine a few years ago.

There is no TDV6 option (unfortunately).

If you search around there was a chap who did that conversion with many pics too

And let me re-assure you, sound of a Tdi just started and about to pull out of the drive for a camping trip is a good enough sound for mortals.

I won't make any extravagant claims like it compares to a BSA Rocket 3/Triumph Trident getting a handful in 2nd or 3rd but it's up there with an early seventies two door Rangie with the 3.5 Buick block pulling a boat and trailer up a steep ramp.

Dwayne at MR should be able to help if you asked.But I stress again it was a special order and I know not what the next defender will come with.

Really....! I dont believe you! One guy (BAS) in the UK is making one but LR havent to my knowledge.

(I sold a Rangie and I sold a Defender).
