when I was doing 2 full time jobs, a part time job and 2 casuals at once it was something in the order of 2 years straight its a very fast way to make a lot of time vanish.

since then probabley a 6 month stint.

Longest day so far is 34 hours. Did 12 hours around Brissie then did a job up to Blackwater and back. My sinus problem needed a fair bit of medication for that one.

Even though the money was good I wouldn't do it again.

Today is my 4th day off since the start of December. Xmas day, boxing day, Sunday and today. The building industry is rather busy in Melbourne, at least working for the people I do. On the days off I get to catch up on book work but I dont really count that as working as it is just sitting in a chair in the office.

where did you carry out your service ??

In Austria, was born there and went back in 1980, finished my apprenticeship, then had to do National Service. I could have done it part time but wanted to get back to Australia.

When we got back I joined the Reserves as a Fitter/Armourer.
Was more like a holiday camp than Army .. lol
But I enjoyed my time with them.
