Steve
That is one fantastic looking car! I love the look of Defenders and I love that colour! A couple of questions:
Can I ask about this wax? What kind of wax do you use on it? It just looks magnificent!
And did you say it has "waxoyled" underneath? Would this be helpful to a car you might take off road at the beaches or would you only have it done because of the salt they use on ice overseas?
If useful for us, can you get it done in Australia?
Thankyou :)
All it is is mothers carnuba wax in a round tin. you use a damp applicator apply it then buff it off... i like the stuff that requires a damp cloth as its easier to do after washing. in that picture it really was dusty... honestly!
As for the Waxoyl its something used heavily in the UK to prevent rust on the chassis and under side. i imagine it could help on the beach runs... except things would stick to it and im not sure how it would handle the temps. the whole of the underside of the chassis / body is covered in something similar tho... dont know what tho... its just very sticky.. i dont think that waxoyl is meant to be sticky tho....
Thanks
Steve
Steve, an EH is a classic Aussie car from the 1960s that could be purchased with a sunvisor, like many others of the '60s.
Below is a 1964 Holden EH with sunvisor, grabbed from the web.

now im a not so dumb pom! i did guess it would be something like that...
Still i guess the sunvisor works ok on the defender as it has similar vintage roots :)
I still dont know whether i like it or not... but its on there... so i guess it will stay!
Thanks
Steve
Suits the Defender Steve.
Would look out of place on a modern Landy!!!
