    And that's from a 90 owner...
Of course they would. And only needs some simple modifications ... such as completely new chassis and firewall, involving redesigning the entire front 1/2 of the vehicle. The 2013 model will deliver the airbags, probably optional curtain airbags too, but will be on the current Disco chassis, stretched. I personally doubt whether the SWB design will continue post 2013, and I'd be buying one now if I could fit my family in one!

Yep thats what they told me too, the Defender is doing very well, and now they are down to just one left, they have managed to get a couple of 110 dc in from the pool list, and the next shipment for them is due in April.

So if that's what Lyntons told you too, why do you say no-one wants them?

I would buy one too but like Big John i Dont fit in them. what is the point of buying a car when you cant shut the door.

I have sat in a PUMA a G4 one came and visited me at the campground i look after and is still not comfortable for me to drive the long distances that i do to go any where.

the should be able to fit airbags to defenders. toyota just fitted airbags to their cruiser utes without too many modifications. Mining companies and government departments look for safety features and Airbags are on the top of the list.

they dont bring all the variants to Australia because if the did they would have a soft top option for the 90.

Don't assume that Australias sales figures bear any resemblance to the relationship of sales between 90's and 110's in places like the UK.

I cant see them stoping producing the 90. That would be a huge error IMO.

On the county I spent a bit of time getting my head around it and then getting it all sorted and working well. I am happy that I did rather than change it over to disks and as I said, she will stop better than most disk defenders
Yeah but you can't get enough speed up between corners to use the brakes on a County AND any car travelling at 50kph will stop better than something travelling at 100kph

Sorry half a sleep, yes they said the Defender is doing well, but the 90 no ones bothered.

Yep. That is one of the main reasons I decided no. There were other reasons too but that was a biggie...

The 90 is great off-road but suffers the choppiness of the SWB on-road. Been in a couple here.
