rear disks cop all the crap dust mud etc, 20 000Ks not only do you have to replace the pads but also the disks.

now a well sorted drum set up will stop just as well, or in my case better than most disk set ups.

It might be the case, in your experience. The rest of us beg to differ.

I love that word "nauseatingly" mmmmm "naw zee ate ing lee", sounds like two chinese cannibals.

Well I've had my defender for 12 years and it travelled on dirt roads everyday for 10 of them and my rear disc's are the factory original and I've replaced the pads twice from new so I don't know where you got 20,000k's from. Pat 1 clean 0.

It's been more than 90 minutes since someone on this forum had a wet dream over a 90
I'm waiting for the Dunlop Volley90 to come out, it's the no nonsense, version of the Puma, bound to be popular

Well yes I was being a smart ass, but it comes down to how much time on road to off road I suppose, but on the disco I was cutting out rear disks and pads faster than front about every 20 000klm. On the county I spent a bit of time getting my head around it and then getting it all sorted and working well. I am happy that I did rather than change it over to disks and as I said, she will stop better than most disk defenders
