Thread: G4 challenge

The G4 Challenge was on last year & I haven't heard that this years event will be canned.

There's not much publicity for it though so I can understand if you missed it.

4WD Action took a couple of the local G4 cars out into the Watagans last year (I think it was after the local stages).

Errr... The G4 was canned last year - 2009 was supposed to be in Mongolia.

They had all of the national selections around the world but the plug was pulled just before the international selections to choose the final teams.

Scouse - You must have been thinking about the selections as the event has been held every 3 years.

It was a big decision to can the event as they already had spent a huge amount on prep, all of the cars were built and they had kitted out most of them.

I doubt G4 will ever fly again but I suspect there will be something else in the future.

OK, it must have been then. I know LR sent cars up around Zig Zag way around the middle of last year to choose the Aussie competitors.

Maybe they'll be twiddling their thubs for a while now......

Personally was never a big fan of the G4 Challenge other than the orange paintjobs

If something was going to come back would hope it'd be in the format of Camel Trophy again with man and machine against the world... it was the best way to show off the vehicles... unfortunately though i don't know or think the vehicles would be up to task anymore other than the defender

maybe we should start our own event.......you know with kayaking and all kinds of fun **** in it......

how about we just drive cars,
stuff all this human fitness ****,
comeon, we just want to see cars do good stuff.

i am ready to enter a team.


oh. and we need a pub at each rest stop.
