You'll really enjoy it in there especially if the lakes are full, although I don't believe you can get around them much by vehicle now.

We spent 3 weeks canoeing around the lakes in 1986 and did the 300 odd km trip to get to the other side of the Cooper via Gidgealpa so we could move camp about 2km from our original site .

Are you putting you're kayak on top of the Fender? If so I hope you're a bit taller that me - I'm 5' 9", the missus is a bit shorter, and it can be a bit of a PITA to put it on top. If there's any way you can carry it on your trailer I'd be doing that.

EDIT - great looking Fender by the way!

    Kayaks on the roof?
    Check out this thread:
Anyone else who 'NEEDS' to carry a kayak/canoe on their roof?
They are a bit exxy but they are SOO good. Before getting them my folks had been out twice in a year in their kayaks, now they are out twice a month or more. All because it was too hard getting the kayaks on the roof of the 1.9 metre tall van.
    Totally worth it!

That setup look's great, but I don't think it'd work with my roof rack

I just bought five Kayaks Inflateable off E-Bay, good fun, pack up to nothing, handle rapids. Have punctured them all, but can be repaired with speed tape if needed, and properly repaired later, or just paddle on, they have five air cells so you can keep going. Did the upper colo for new years, and done some of the Goodradigby in the brindabellas near canberra. Tried the Coxs river in the maglong valley NSW, but it'll need a lot of rain to do it.
I want to do the ten day upper colo mission fromg Glen Davies through the national park, have to walk the first 20kms or so I think.
Take goggles and snorkel, for watching fish.
Also, vever forget the power of water, picture trying to stand up with a dump truck dumping water at your feet.

I've done the BV 100 twice. Once solo in a TK1 and again as part of a team in a TK2. As well as many hundreds and hundreds of klm's racing and training around NSW and SE Qld. Actually did a 10 klm paddle yesterday, the boat and me having been laid up for a couple of years.

I second Bushies comments re Coongie. Actually that's a good shot of the back of my head in the rear of that Canadian.

May be in Alice on the Todd River, but "sand kayaking."
You should know better to post a pic and not wear your PFD what happens when you fall off on the grass rapids?
But I bet you cant wait to get it on the H20
    I wouldn't mind one
