Haven't caught up with you for a while Jono, I take it the Disco had some sort of terminal failure (apart from the alternator) in SA ? I kinda liked the external power source.
Had a good long weekend fishing at Lake Tyers. Caught a smorgasboard of fish. Flattys, pinkys, mullett, bream, taylor, garfish and trevally. Not a lot of each but enough to be satisfied. When you factor in the cost of fuel, accomodation, meals and beer I reckon each one cost about $50 each, but had a great time. Have you been giving the Coke bottle a workout ?

Hi Groc and all,
I've never worked so hard since I retired. Between fixing up the little cottage round the corner which I bought, getting the OKA ready for the Canning Stock Route in mid May (weather permitting), building and repairing PC's and spending the day fencing (not with swords), I reckon 'work' was easier. Still, I'm away in 6 weeks over to HBWC land and up the CSR to Halls Creek which puts SWMBO and me in the Kimberley in mid June with another 8 weeks before we have to return down south. It's a tough life but someone has to do it.

We were in the Kimberley's in '08 did the Plenty H'Way, Tanami Track then the Gibb river back via the Reynolds river Road to Qld fantastic trip...meet up with Scallops half way through;)

I would love to do some of those trips. So far, all I have done is Broome to Cape Leveque and back in the wet (that was a bit muddy :eek: )and a day trip from Broome to Derby and back (all blacktop on that one)
