I think a large part of the prob at the time was that he was responsible for the OH&S of others and carried over the same level of 'care' into the 'recreational' arena, which is what I would call people cutting up a bit of firewood a couple of times a year.
About time for another chainsaw thread I reckon. :) Winter is approaching.
Personally wondering whether I should try to resurrect my old man's Poulan that pre-dates chain brakes. Must have a look to see if I Stihl have it.
