Had a mechanic from All 4X4 at Kotara have a look, couldn't help, so the vehicle has to go to All4X4 at Kotara to hook up to their diagnostics, I shudder at the final bill.

Car has been off the road for almost a month now. If it wasn't for my boss lending me a work car we would be in real strife as far as transport is concerned.
Ouch, i shudder when i hear the name all4x4, one thing they know how to do well is charge huge prices for everything....

I have found their first quote on items is usually high but a bit of negotiating usually gets the price down to being very competitive.

I have been using them since the late 70s when they were over at Broadmeadow and can usually negotiate a suitable price.

Yeah, mate I know, that's why I tried to avoid them by going to the local mechanic that I have dealt with before. Unfortunately he does not have the diagnostic equipment to solve the ECU problems. Go to the Freelander Section and look at my thread on "Is My Automatic Transmission Stuffed" to see what is happening!!

Banjo, I certainly hope you are right, my Freelander has been off the road for a month now, and I am getting very frustrated with the whole situation.
