    4 weeks to go

Getting ready for the high country trip, leave Perth on 27th Feb, meet a mate at Bruthen on the 4th day and enter the high country through the Haunted Stream track, will travel from there through to Waterford (The caravan Park), do the Bassalt Knob track, to Zeka Spur track into Wonnangatta for a couple od days, out through Rileys track into Abbeyard, Speculation, Pineapple flat, Craigs Hut area through Bindarrie to Sheepyard flat and then to Bendigo to see SWMBO son, to SA to see SIL and home.

All in will be around 18 days, 9 days in the HC.

Just got to get everything organised

    Hiline, Sheepyard on the 11th??

good stuff Richard, I have spent many times around that area and I still think its one of the best spots in Australia ! Has some of the most spectacular 4wding you can do ! I used to do a couple trips up there a year !!! Now i'm in the west I'm having continuous withdrawal symptoms !!

    Enjoy !

Nice, hope you enjoy the VIC high country.

Pineapple Flat is lovely - haven't been there for 20 years but I bet it hasn't changed much.

The D3 will breeze through those tracks. although taking the trailer will make it a little interesting.

I took the trailer through there last trip (2004 I think), although we are doing different areas this time and I had a D2 then (Traction control was not functioning) we made it through no problems even up the Wombat Range Track so I hope this time we have no problems

We are going with a couple with whom we have done a couple of large trips but they are not forumites, in fact they don't have a Landy now............a (whispers) Series 80 Landcruiser, but they are good people to travel with
