    The tears are welling...

Condolences (again) mate. She was a beautiful dog and it is my loss that we never met.

Mate I did not know you but feel for you for your loss. I too have a mate in a border cross kelpie. She has been my companion now for 11 years.Originally a working dog she is now in retirement but hating it as she is in a town not the countryside she grew up and worked in.
The thing about a "good "dog is the fact that they show you devotion that is always there. They greet you everytime with that special look and tail wagging irrespective, every time it is exactly the same.Nothing can replace that unconditional devotion.
I have always said that every kid should have a dog to grow up with.A good dog can teach them so much.
    Cheers mate ,
    John.

I am also sorry to read that. I am happy you could be there at the end though. I sent that post to my wife so she understands what dogs mean to people.
