    Where can I get Aluminium knuckle joint???

    Does anyone know where I can get 4 of these ... 40mm to 45mm knuckle joints???



    The important part, is the main joint with the plastic handle lock bolt through it .... the lower foot (part) doesn't have to swivel, as it can be just a solid base


    I'm building a canopy for my boat .... for the second time ...

    What happened to the first one??? Yours wasn't the one I almost ran over in the left lane of the Kwinana freeway last weekend was it?

    See what happens when you don't use knuckle joints ......



    Naaaaaaaa ..... designed & cut out a complete Ali tube framed canopy, ready for welding ...... then blow me down, I'm sitting on the river and this boat goes by with a real sweet setup .....

    Bugger .... $220 worth of Ali & 2 weeks of head scratchin ... in de bin .... back to the drawing board .... Hence, want knuckle joints

    It wasn't looking in the best shape - either a hard landing or had already been driven over. It may still be there??? Kwinana FWY southbound.

    UES International have all kinds of kewl stuff lilke that. They are in malaga so not too much of a trek...

    It might be a stupid answer , but try a boat canopy builder place, surely they must be able to sell you what you need?

    Not silly answer at all ... It's just that in WA, Trying to find the right mob or person, involves days of "leg work" & Miles of driving .... with usually all answers ending with, "the parts come from the Eastern States" ....

    There's more engineers and fabricators on this site than I can poke a stick at ..... so someone must know of something, that's sitting in a catalogue, that's tucked in their draw...
