We used a zyleen (???) based sealer(DT fauxtect concrete sealer), you can repair it with a solvent that you just paint back over, it softens up the sealer and repairs it.
I'd have to agree with you about the floating floor Vern. One of the worst decisions we have made. 10 years old and it looks crap - and we got the "expensive" one. We are going back to tiles soon.

130's rule
Damien,
Be careful with Xylene or M.E.K based sealers, make sure you follow the safety instructions. They are great carriers for the resin but quite nasty for your health, use positive pressure ventilation if the area is at all inclosed and always use your face mask.
If you go a couple of steps down the solvent tree to Solvesso or Solvent 100 base the safety is a bit easier to control.
If you liked the darker look you can buy 'wet look' or even dark tinted sealers that will hide the lighter swirls.

One thing to remember in living and sleeping areas, Xylene and similar, in fact most will off-gas for a long time and be quite harmful, especially to kids.
Try a Acrylic base if possible, easy to touch up and way less harmful to manufacture, apply and live with.
Just a thought.
2pac is super heavy duty though and will retain shine for a long time.
The more gloss, the harder the finish.![]()
