Yeah, all that stuff was on the bench before. Got the boxes to put everything it and keep it sorted.

Ok, update. Bolted the vice to the bench and the grinder/sander. I also knocked up a shelf for the stereo...gotta have some tunes in the shed.

Now bolt a plate of steel over once end (about 1mtr coverage) with about an inch hanging over the end..

Makes a great welding area for smaller work...

Good idea Mike! I think I will do that once I get a welder...

How thick should I make it?

I did something similar a while ago... yours is definitly heavier duty tho! nice job....

33mm mdf tops tho... very very heavy... and it doesnt look like this any more.. it was built for storage and then i used it all! so there is crap everywhere!

    Thanks

Nice work! Im envious of the amount of storage you have. I dont really need that much as the shed is only for the rangie and for my tools. Dont have to store anything else there.

I had considered MDF, but that can swell if you spill oil/water etc on it. The redgum hopefully should stand up to the pounding and spills.

Looks like you have used the same flooring paint as me...is it the Dulux garage kit?

no ... we looked at the dulux... but went for something else that i cant remember... was a single pack oil based one... and worked a treat (except having to etch the floor, which was new.. oh and having to wait the prescribed 10 + weeks from floor lay date...)

im envious of you only having to have the rangie etc in there... cant get either of the landies in there now.. too low and after the disco had the roo bar too short... the joys of living metro...

I liked the storage... unfortunately as i said... i have used it all so stuff is scattered all over the place.. will get tidied up again soon.. as its still not finished..

I wanted it for general use, tool storage, and as a place i can knock up a bit of furniture.. and have everything tucked away nicely.. different purpose to yours!

the redgum should hold up nicely! the MDF i have covered with a 6mm bakealite type material so when it gets too rough i can replace it..

    one day i'll be finished.....

Steve - yeah I had to do that same with my floor which is about 20 years old. Came up ood after the etching...the only thing was that I did it in winter and had to wait about 2 -3 months for a couple of dry days in a row with the right temperature to lay down the paint.
