It's a python. Not sure exactly what breed, but pretty similar to the Olive Python common in the Pilbara - probably either the same or related.
They're very common on Cockatoo - I remember seeing plenty of them, some much larger than this, when I was working up there a while back. There's also a few nasty varieties of snake up there, which also sometimes find their way into the houses. The houses up there have no external windows around most of the buildings - just large storm shutters which are left open most of the time unless there is a cyclone around. Only the bedrooms have windows / air conditioners.
The pythons come in after the frogs at this time of the year.

the pic is not the best and you have two similar pythons at that location the Olive and the Water.If it had a yellow belly its a Water Python.Be interested in seeing a better pic, especially if an Olive and being an insular population.
