Camel Trophy expert's any out there

I have recently bought a Camel Trophy dvd, covering 1988/1998, it is a very good dvd, on one of the events, a brief shot of a Defender 127, is shown, does any one have any further information on the number of 127's used, and if any survive?, iam aware of 2 110 HCPU in the uk, and also a 110 service van that were also used, but could not find any information on the 127....

OK... There were 5x 127s built for the Siberia event.

IIRC, there were 3x Double cabs and 2x single cabs.

    1x Double cab in Germany.
1x Double cab stolen & never recovered.
1x Double cab bought by a company.

1x Single cab in UK (owned by the same chap with the workshop 110)
1x Single cab used by the same company...

The ones used by that company have not been seen for several years.

Another bit of trivia for the 1990 event... It was the only event to have 3 door Discoveries.

BTW - The 'service van' you speak of wasn't used on the 1990 event as they used the 127 single cabs for that job.

All RHD. All support vehicles were RHD, it was only the competitor vehicles that were done in LHD.

As for the company, can't help with that one...
