Thread: Property clearing at Taggerty #2

Hi,

Some of you may remember a message I posted back in early January regarding assistance with the clearing of a Black Saturday property at Taggerty which we attended on January 16th and in which some AULRO members attended.

We had a great time and most of our volunteer group wanted to return to finish what we had started. That time has now come.

Saturday the 13th of March is our next working bee and we would like to get as many people as possible to finish what we started.
It will be a single day job starting at 9-00am leaving the following day free for some of us to attend the Dandy Ranges Swap Meet at Yarra Glen.

We have many jobs suitable for all including kids –
1. concluding the clearing of fallen timber, log cutting & splitting
2. grass and weed slashing
3. spraying of numerous black wattle seedlings & general weeds (Roundup to be supplied)
4. clearing of heavy combustible materials from near the house
5. pruning of dead branches
6. removing dead fruit trees with a tractor
7. making the property as fireproof as possible or at least to reduce the impact of future bushfires.
