    Anyone own a Navman MY75T?

I see at Repco they are $189 dollars .

    Info Navman MY75T

Ive done alot of google search's and found a few links giving it a bad rap and I relise it dosent contain Hemi maps but tracks.

Ive also PM'd Ranga I should of taken him up on his offer while he was still living here .

I also see DealExtreme has the 7" for $128.50 my main concern is if it craps itself.

But Ive also read that Navmans help/support is crap, anyway just doing a little reasearch at the moment and thought I would see if anybody has used or owned the MY75T and have you added Ozi maps.

I know that the GSP subject has been done to death but Iam interested in peoples experience not heresay.

get a garmin, navman can be an absolute bitch to keep updated.

the garmin is so easy to keep updated compared to them.

i own both, wouldn't buy another navman...

    That's a good price.

I just bought one a couple of weeks ago for a bit more.

As with Incisor I also have a Garmin (nuvi 765) which I have always been very happy with. Shonky Maps have been up to most tasks, even in the Simpson desert.

I bought the Navman My75T on a whim, knowing that i needed map upgrades before we move to Toowoomba. Map ugrades are expensive!! I don't fancy navigating around Brisbane with a metro mapset that is over 2 years old, especially with some of therecently completed motorway sections.

So the Navam with 3 years of map upgrades seemed like the go, for not much more than map upgrades for the old nuvi 765.

So far I'm happy enough with the Navman, the few times I've trialled it. It will reside in my wife's car up in Qld for most of the time. I prefer the graphic display of the Navman, but you can't beat Garmin screen brightness during the day.

Like yourself I have read varying reports on-line about the 75T and Navman in general. I've had no problems with map updates etc on line, and hopefully won't have to bother with after sales service! I still wait to find out how reliable it is with urban navigating.

    Cheers

Buy the Navman. At that price it is a steal. I payed about $330 12 months ago. I have been very happy with mine. Now I have a radio with built in gps I use the Navman in my wifes VW instead of the Tom Tom she has. I prefer the Navman to the IGO system used in my car radio as well.

We have 2 of them (I bought one and she insisted on having one too). We paid a bit more than that but are quite happy with them. I'm very happy with the screen size and it's screen clarity in daylight is fine for me.

My last Navman lasted 3 years before I accidently fritzed it - I suspect I will get a similar run from this one and it has more features than the last one so I really don't mind upgrading them every 3 years or so.

Don't buy the Navman, mine regularly gets stuck on the previous route and you have to do a reset.
Also often gives me an eta at destination that averages over 200 km/hr, that would be a sight to see in my old Disco!
This is my 4th Navigator and even my original Tom Tom 1 was better than this!
It also does not ask if you would like to shut down when the ignition is turned off so it's battery often goes flat.
It has been back after totally freezing screen, the after service personal were extremely rude.
Do yourself a favor and buy mine for $50, no, I couldn't do that to a fellow AUROLIAN.
I'm normally not a grump, it's just a really sore point with me.
