    i sell them with 9 pin or 25 pin fittings to suit differt needs..

    might pay to put them in the emporium ?

    I think so, along with things like null modem adaptors, serial cables, USB cables, Bluetooth USB adaptors, CF & SD cards, card readers etc.

    as long as the gps output nmea sentences you'll be ok.

    btw - they all do so no dramas.

    re laptops - i had to look for a long time to find one with a serial port.
    finally brought a compaq nx9040. only one around.

    Not all GPSRs output NMEA. Some, like the base model Magellan eXplorist and Garmin Geko do not have any external data ports at all. These are definitely best avoided. Serial-USB converters work well so there is no need to have a dedicated serial port.

    am chasing a decent distributor for sdio cards at present... the other stuff i pretty much have covered....

    if you know of any please let me know...
