Looking at one myself - and would also like to know if anyone has purchased one of these. I am looking at a double din unit and from what I can see the specs are pretty good and seem to be very similar to the Polaris for a fraction of the cost.

Rob,
just curious about what vehicle u are intending to fit it to. Double Din will be too big for most LR factory mount spots.
cheers

Nick,
I have a SE D3 2008 -The guys at Polaris say that the standard radio is a double din unit and that I need a new trim facia that they can provide. I have found theseavailable in the U.K vailable from justkenwood.co.uk for 48GBP plus postage.
My biggest concern was what the screen resolution is but checking the specs of the ebay units and a similar Kenwood unit they are the same.
Wold appreciate any advice or opinions. Also wouldn't mind a professional installer to fit it.
Regards
Rob
Rob,
excuse my ignorance. If you have the D3 then no prob. For some reason i just assumed a d1 or d2. I reckon one of these units would be sweet, with CE you can run all sorts of useful apps.

Nick,
just had them confirm all you need is to buy the right version software that runs on win ce 5.0, then you can install the software into the same sd card as the on road maps then just change the gps pathway on the screen when you want to swap between the maps.
It certainly seems a good unit.
