I've been trying to do another DVD run for a while now - I'll try and sort this out before the weekend. If I do, do you want me to send you a disc with files and instructions?

While I learn to use my new toy, I have been trying to find out what it is capable of doing and how well it does it.

I have noticed that if I deliberately take a wrong turn, it takes 3 seconds to announce that it is recalculating the route and another 3 seconds to offer a new route. That strikes me as pretty quick.

Is that what I can normally expect or is it just that I have only tested it near home and that navigation around Tuross Head is not very difficult?

thats a bit slow on the pickup..

mine only takes a few meters past the turn (even at 100) to hit the recalculating screen and redirecting takes a couple of seconds to several minutes depending on what settings and where I am.

To the credit of DealExtreme, I recieved a refund on 6-Nov after I requested and update on delivery and advised them that if they had none in stock I wanted a refund.

No arguments, they just refunded it. My main disappointment is that there was no indication on their website that they had no stock when I ordered the 2 units in early October.

I'd order again if I know that they have the kit in stock.

i had a quick look and put it in the centre console, the cam action thingy does not move the suction cap enough so it does no grab the windscreen. i will need to compare against yours.

funny thing was i had it sitting on the dash of the defender with out the cradle fitted, went around a corner and the gps unit fell through the window, thank god its charging/power cable saved it.....
